Sometimes it can be challenging to find the perfect design that truly matches your vision for a room. Maybe you've found your dream wallpaper, but you're not completely satisfied with the colors or how the design needs to be cropped to fit your wall's dimensions. If you want to change colors, add elements, or adjust proportions, don't worry — our talented graphic designers can customize the image in various ways. Contact us beforehand, and we'll help you create your dream wallpaper.

Order Sample Prints

Choosing a wallpaper and feeling confident about the design and colors can be challenging. That's why it's a great idea to order one or more sample prints to get a sense of how the colors and patterns look in real life and in the room you plan to wallpaper. Once you receive the samples, hang them on the wall to see how they look from a distance and in different lighting conditions. Ordering samples before you make a final decision is an easy and effective way to feel secure in your wallpaper investment

Include Installation Margin

Make sure to order your wallpaper slightly larger than the wall dimensions — we recommend adding 6-10 centimeters (2.5-4 inches) to both the height and width. When installing the wallpaper, ensure you have an equal installation margin at the top and bottom when hanging the first strip. In most cases, the last strip will only be partially printed; this is so the total width of the wallpaper matches your order exactly. The remainder of the last strip will be unprinted, meaning it will be white.

Remove Old Wallpaper

Technically, you can install new wallpaper over old wallpaper, but you'll get the best results if you remove the old one first. If you decide not to remove the old wallpaper, you should prime the wall before installing the new one. The reason is that the moisture in the adhesive can reactivate the old glue, causing bubbles. Another reason to remove the old wallpaper is that it can be even more work if you need to remove multiple layers later.

Matching Wall Colors

The simplest and most effective way to find a wall color that matches your wallpaper is to take a piece of the wallpaper, or a sample, to your local paint store and find a color you think complements the wallpaper. Another option is to wallpaper all the walls in the room. We offer many beautiful designs that are perfect for an entire room.

Installing Dark Wallpapers

If you choose a wallpaper with a dark design, keep in mind that it may require extra care during installation to avoid visible seams between the strips. This can happen because the paper is white, and it’s not possible to print on the edges of the paper. To minimize the risk of visible white seams, you can paint the wall underneath in a color close to the wallpaper. If you want to be extra careful, you can take a crayon in a similar shade and gently color the edge of the wallpaper before installing it. If the wallpaper is already up, you can touch up the seams with a water-based hobby paint, diluted to a watery consistency, and paint the seams with a thin brush. Let the paint sit for five seconds and then wipe it off with a dry cloth.

Thorough Preparation

To ensure a smooth installation and great results, it's important to have a clean and smooth wall, free from drill holes, old wallpaper seams, and other irregularities. Fill and sand as needed, and prime the wall, ideally in a shade close to the wallpaper’s color.

DIY Installation

Wallpapering is often thought to be difficult, and you might think you need to hire a professional. However, installing non-woven wallpaper is not complicated at all. Apply the adhesive directly to the wall, then press the strips in order. If a strip isn’t aligned correctly, gently peel it off and reattach it. Once all the strips are in place, trim the edges at the floor and ceiling, and wipe off any excess adhesive. Voilà!

When it comes to renovating sustainably, there are a few things to keep in mind when choosing wallpaper. Choose the Right Material

When buying wallpaper, consider which material best suits your needs and purposes. We offer three different materials to choose from: Premium Satin, Premium Matte, and Peel and Stick Matte. The Premium Satin material is our classic wallpaper with beautiful color reproduction. The Premium Matte material has a thin surface layer, giving it a matte finish and making it more resistant to scratches. Both Premium Satin and Premium Matte are non-woven wallpapers, and the adhesive is applied directly to the wall. Our Premium Matte material also withstands mild cleaning products, making it suitable for public spaces, kitchens, and children's rooms. Peel and Stick Matte is a self-adhesive wallpaper that’s easy to remove without leaving any traces. It’s great if you live in a rental property or want a temporary change.
